Canada's Business Immigration program seeks to promote economic development and employment by attracting Investors, entrepeneurs, and self-employed individuals. The economic benefits are brought in through venture capital, business re-investment, business acumen, and entrepeneurial skills from immigrants.

1) Immigrant Investor Program (IIP) - this is one of the fast-tracks to Canadian permanent residence. Investors need to qualify with a net worth of 1.6 million and invest $800,000 but if successful, there isn't a further business requirement to maintain.

2) Entrepeneur Program - If you have a business to start in Canada then you may qualify for a conditional visa with either a provincial nominee program or with the Federal entrepeneur program. To qualify for the Entrepeneur program, you mu st have net worth of $300,000 and must be able to establish, invest, or buy a business in Canada to create and maintain employment in Canada.

3) Self-Employed Program - To qualify for this, individuals must be able to support all family and dependents with self-employment income from either cultural or artisan activities, athletics, or farming.
